Case studies
Children and young people want to make a difference! Many children and young people have already been involved in events and groups making improvements on issues they feel strongly about. Learning from the experience of others is powerful and we hope you will find something here that will interest you. The case studies on the left show how pupils have improved their learning and environment in schools across Wales.
If you think you or your school are involved in making a difference, download the case study template template below and let us know what you’re doing by e-mailing: childrenandyoungpeoplesrights@wales.gsi.gov.uk

This DVD clip shows how Hafod Primary School in Swansea has developed a whole-school approach to pupil participation so that all pupils have opportunities to play an active role in their school community.
In Connah's Quay High School, pupils work in partnership with teaching staff to evaluate and improve their learning.
In Penmaes School staff work with pupils to help them communicate their needs and views so that they have ownership of the school environment and can contribute their thoughts and ideas.
