Celebrate Universal Children’s Day 2011
On 20 November 1989 the United Nations Assembly adopted the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) - an international agreement that protects the human rights of all children under the age of 18.
You can mark Universal Children’s Day by:
- Holding a special assembly in your school – ideas and activities attached.
- Telling people about children’s day!
- Telling people about the UNCRC, what it means and why it’s important.
- Having a look at the ‘Let’s Get it Right’ and ‘Pupil Voice Wales’ websites, using the materials on them, and spreading the word.
